The Wallich homelessness Street Fleet
Attend the launch of The Wallich’s new Street Fleet on Wednesday 16 May in Cardiff Bay.

Thanks to the success of the 2017 Reaching Out to Rough Sleepers Winter campaign, we have been able to purchase five brand new vehicles for our Rough Sleepers’ Intervention Teams across Wales.

The campaign, in partnership with the South Wales Echo, aimed to fundraise £75,000 for new, much-needed vehicles for our teams based in Cardiff, Bridgend, Newport, Swansea and Wrexham.

Reaching Out to Rough Sleepers was a huge success. It received support from more than 1,600 individuals and organisations across Wales and raised an incredible £91,502.

We’re now inviting the public to come and see the Street Fleet, learn more about our mobile working to support people who are rough sleeping and meet the teams at our launch event.

The new Street Fleet will help us get people off the streets and into safety.

We can take people experiencing homelessness to our specialist centres; shower, use a washing machine and meet with staff in the hope of securing accommodation and further health and wellbeing support.

Beyond getting people off the streets, the vehicles have the potential to keep people off the streets, by moving people and their possessions into hostels or their own homes.

They will also create opportunities for people by taking them to training, education and work placements or on life-changing trips.
