Check out our 2019 Rugby World Cup sweepstake to raise money for a homelessness charity in Wales
The opening match of the 2019 Rugby World Cup kicks off on Friday 20 September as nations from across the globe compete for the title.
Whether you follow rugby or are just playing for fun, a sweepstake is a great way to get involved with the 2019 Rugby World Cup and bond with people in your personal life or workplace.
How to play the sweepstake
- Cut out and fold the flags
- Encourage your friends / colleagues to take part by picking a country at random out of a hat
- Keep track of who has each country in the table provided
- Enjoy the tournament – when it’s all over, the person who has picked the winning team wins a prize*
*Suggested donation of £5 per entry – winner receives half of the proceeds, with the other half being donated to The Wallich
An added extra
You can double the fun and raise more money by asking your friends and family to guess the Man of the Match or First / Last try scorer in each game.
Why should you play?
Money raised for The Wallich will help homeless and vulnerably housed people in one of the competing World Cup nations – Wales.
At The Wallich, we believe in the power of sport to make people feel included in a community – something that many of our service users yearn for after the sometimes isolating experience of homelessness.
We hope that no matter which team you draw out of the sweepstake, you’ll get behind their efforts knowing that you’ll also be supporting the work to help people who have been faced with a life sleeping rough on the streets.
