A charity quiz held in Cardiff last month raised more than £1200 to help homeless people across Wales.
Our supporters Centurion VAT invited their clients, colleagues and suppliers to pit their wits against each other at Cardiff Metropolitan Students’ Union. The winners of the night were Wendy Hopkins Law Practice, while Astutis took home two ‘Wally’ awards for Best Team name with ‘Big Test Icicles’ and The Purple Gnome in recognition of their efforts.
Centurion VAT are long-standing supporters of The Wallich, with this year’s fundraising pot building on the success of last year’s charity quiz.
Liz Maher, Director at Centurion VAT Specialists Ltd, said: “Being able to bring together our clients and contacts, have great fun and raise some much needed funding for The Wallich seemed a great opportunity.
“Any business likes to ensure it supports their wider community and it is our pleasure to help raise the profile of The Wallich and its fantastic work across Wales.”
Jan Balsdon, Director of Fundraising & Partnerships at The Wallich, said: “We are extremely grateful to Centurion VAT for all their efforts and for raising such a substantial amount for The Wallich. The money raised will help us continue the vital work we do in preventing homelessness in Wales and supporting those who are most vulnerable to re-build their lives.”
