What happened

We were notified on 16th July by one of our third-party service providers of a security incident in which a copy of our backup file which may have contained personal information was accessed.

We have received confirmation from our provider that the incident has now been resolved, and that following an investigation, they have no reason to believe that data was, or will be, misused.

As a precaution, we have been in touch with the Information Commissioners Office. We have also contacted the database provider to express our concerns about the length of time it took to inform us.

Ensuring the safety of data is of the utmost importance to us and we would like to sincerely apologise for any concern this may cause any of our supporters.

If you have shared data with us, you don’t need to take any action as we believe this incident was low risk and has now been resolved. However, please remain vigilant and if you experience any suspicious activity, report it to the Information Commissioners Office.

Should you have any further questions or concerns and would like to discuss further, please do not hesitate to contact our team via email at: supportercare@thewallich.net
