Help people experiencing homelessness across Wales

homeless in the street

The Wallich will support approximately 4,000 people at risk of homelessness in Wales this winter.

This winter, we need your help to ensure no one goes without food, no one goes without warmth and no one goes without community.

You can help us support people on the streets, people stuck in temporary accommodation and help us move people away from homelessness for good.

Money raised by The Wallich’s 2024 winter campaign goes to our homelessness fund which gives out emergency grants.

You’ll be helping people at risk of homelessness or hardship with what they need, whenever they need it.

Whether you decide to make a one-off donation or pledge a monthly gift, thank you.

You’re joining a community of people determined to prevent and end homelessness in Wales, for good.

A regular gift could help someone move into their new home, provide heating, or access mental health counselling.

A one-off donation could help someone get the essential items they need, like basic food shopping and warm clothing as and when they need them.

Why donate?

We can provide emergency support for individuals and families when they need it most, helping with energy bills, food and essential household items.

The Wallich has been the safety net for many people in Wales. We came to the rescue when:

  • Jamil* was unwell and hadn’t eaten.
  • Sherley* slept in one of her two sets of clothes.
  • The Jones* family had an empty food cupboard.
  • John* received an unexpected gas bill he couldn’t pay.
  • Charlie* finally moved into his own place, but didn’t have a single piece of furniture.
  • Mohammed* got a puncture in his bike wheel and couldn’t get to his job.
  • Fiona* didn’t have an ID. Without one, she couldn’t open a bank account or receive money she was entitled to.

We know that it is a struggle to set up a home and sustain a tenancy.

That’s why with your help, we can provide emergency support for individuals and families when they need it most, helping with energy bills, food, and essential household items.
