Cardiff Nightshelter provides emergency accommodation between the hours of 8pm – 9am to people who are sleeping rough in Cardiff.
Residents can take a hot shower, use the laundry facilities and enjoy a proper cooked meal. It has five shared bedrooms, a communal living room, kitchen and bathroom. As well as warmth, safety and food, residents have access to a support worker and are signposted to longer-term solutions so they can escape the streets. Resettlement plans are produced and liaison with health, benefits and criminal justice agencies is part of the service provided.
The Nightshelter is open to those aged 18 and over who are sleeping rough in Cardiff. It forms part of Cardiff Council’s emergency homelessness provision and places are allocated by the Gateway team.
