This research, mostly consisting of questionnaires and in-depth interviews with people aged 60 and over, finds that potentially harmful levels of drinking is more common in older people than most might think. What’s more, services designed to support this demographic are rare.



The report details the research findings and makes recommendations that might reduce the harm caused to older people by alcohol use, an issue often thought to affect younger people in particular.
