The Gwent BOOST project is a five-year National Lottery funded project.
The project works in partnership with service providers throughout Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport and Torfaen.
The project will deliver new initiatives to people at risk of homelessness, currently experiencing homelessness or people with lived experience of homelessness ensuring that people are enabled with the tools and skills they need to move on with their lives, leaving homelessness behind for good.
The project builds upon what is already working in Gwent.
It also works in partnership to deliver five key activities:
Restoring people and communities
Make people feel part of their community and being accepted.
Stepping into The Re;Store you will be able to access a set of diverse, inclusive and supportive workshops and activities that will allow you to grow, improve, not only you but those around you and your community.
You will also be met with the warmest welcome on this side of Gwent.
In an environment that is designed by you, by us and is safe, inclusive and non-judgmental.
The Re;Store will grow with you and be there on your journey, however big or small.
Using co-production and community resources, we at The Re;Store aim to help those who have the experience of homelessness, whether that be directly or indirectly, to anyone who’s feels they have a need to be supported.
Our support reaches all individuals and the wider community.
We strive to restore and grow people and the places they live in. The Re;Store achieves this through tailored workshops, activities and events in its space in Pontypool.
What to expect:
The Re;Store is a social enterprise that is about Supporting communities and people to restore lives, skills, and communities.
It is a safe place to learn new things and be part of the community.
You can learn a new activity or share your knowledge. Everyone at The Re;Store is equal.
We work closely with all relevant local agencies to ensure that we continually deliver workshops, services and events that are aligned with the needs of the community, the agencies and the individuals.

Tackling inequality and discrimination in the private rented sector
The Champions Network exists to build a platform for best practice in the Private Rented Sector in Wales.
We are recruiting Volunteer Tenant and Landlord Champions who will work together to develop joint initiatives around priority themes and key issues.
This work will then be taken forward through events, social media campaigns, advocacy, and other awareness-raising activity.
