Howard Davies (He / Him)

Joining The Wallich in early 2023, Howard is enjoying a role that links the heart and mind of how we use finance within the organisation.

In his current role as Director of Finance, Howard aims to:

• Ensure all financial practices are in line with The Wallich’s organisational business plan
• Maintain the financial security of The Wallich
• Liaise with the Board of Trustees and Finance Committee to ensure clear governance
• Build and maintain relationships across The Wallich to serve everyone’s financial needs and support
• Simplify systems used by our staff

Howard is passionate about giving back to society rather than chasing profit.

Through his background, Howard understands the importance of finding the balance between achieving profit and utilising it effectively to help support people.

Howard has more than 20 years’ experience of working at a senior level within the manufacturing sector, alongside three years in a senior role at a Housing Association.

He has also been a Treasurer and Chair of another homelessness charity in Wales.

Howard’s professional accreditations include:

• An MBA
• Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants
• A PGCE to support his lecturing of non-financial managers to increase financial understanding in support their roles
