Our team provides tenancy-related support and assistance for people experiencing housing difficulties across the Vale of Glamorgan
Our floating support team helps and empowers people to address housing and / or personal difficulties, build skills and boost your confidence to ultimately improve your ability to maintain current and future accommodation.
Our Vale Floating Support offers support and assistance to people in their homes or within the community – whichever suits the person.
The support provided will not create or increase dependence.
It will “do with” rather than “do for” – to improve your control, understanding and involvement in the issues which affect your personal goals.
Support on offer
Each service user will be assigned a support worker, who can help with:
- Setting achievable goals to break down barriers that prevent people from moving forward with their lives
- Giving advice on seeking permanent accommodation
- Addressing rent arrears and debts
- Accessing benefit reviews
- Signposting to appropriate services around individual needs e.g. housing, benefits, debts, mental health services, substance misuse, counselling and more
All referrals come through the local Supporting People Team and we work alongside the statutory and community-based services across the Vale of Glamorgan.
