Housing First Swansea

Housing First Swansea provides housing support for people 18 and over experiencing homelessness or rough sleeping

The Housing First Swansea team works closely with the council and social landlords to help people move straight into a permanent home, rather than temporary solutions like hostels.

Once housed, the Housing First Swansea team provide intensive, wrap-around support to help them settle and maintain their home.

Housing First Swansea focuses on people’s strengths, not just their problems.

Support is flexible and built around the individual’s needs, helping with:

• Budgeting
• Benefits
• Employment
• Harm Reduction

The team work proactively with other services in Swansea to encourage engagement with mental health, substance use support and wellbeing.

Who can access Housing First Swansea?

Potential clients are identified through:

• Housing Options Homeless Register
• Complex Case Meetings
• MARACs (Multi-agency Risk Assessment Conferences)
• Other agencies

All referrals are discussed with Housing Options Swansea before Support is offered.

Swansea Housing First is a partnership between The Wallich, Kaleidoscope and Swansea Council, working together to end homelessness for good.
