Choir with No Name

Cardiff’s new fun and welcoming choir involving people with experience of homelessness and marginalisation

We are excited to launch this new choir, in partnership with our friends at the Choir with No Name.

We can’t wait to welcome along people impacted by homelessness and marginalisation in Cardiff.

 

The choir is free to join, and no singing experience is necessary, just turn up.

We sing all kinds of music, including pop, soul, rock, reggae and more.

The Cardiff choir is based on the idea that singing in a choir makes you feel good, is a distraction from day-to-day life, and allows you to be part of a fun and welcoming community.

Rehearsals will run from 6pm – 7.30pm every Tuesday

What to expect from Choir With No Name

• No audition process
• You do not have to commit to attending every week
• Unfortunately, the choir is not able to pay for members’ transport to weekly rehearsals, but members are encouraged to speak to the Choir Manager if there is a particular issue
• Refreshments provided
• The choir will include opportunities to attend gigs and events and learn new skills

Although there is no pressure to attend, it would be helpful if service users (or their support workers) could let us know if they plan to attend the first session.

The choir is open to people from any service, not just The Wallich.

Attendees will be expected to follow the COVID safety procedures in place in order to keep everyone safe.
