Helping people in Pembrokeshire understand and manage hoarding

The Wallich’s Making Space service works with people to understand hoarding – without judgement.

Our service provides a holistic and therapeutic approach to support for people who have hoarding behaviours.

What is hoarding?

Support we offer

We understand that letting go of items in your home can sometimes be upsetting.

We won’t come into your home and begin clearing – we work with you, at your own pace, to help organise your home.

We offer therapies which offer the tools to address why we hoard and how to prevent going back to old habits. This includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed approaches and relapse prevention.

We also offer a Community Support Group for ongoing emotional and practical peer support in a non-judgmental space.

Why do we run this service?

Hoarding is a complex and often misunderstood condition, where people can often become isolated, unwell, and unsafe and, in some cases that can lead to the potential loss of their home.

The Making Space holistic hoarding service supports people in maintaining independence, living safely in their homes, improving mental health and preventing homelessness.

Referrals to the service will be via the Pembrokeshire Council Housing Support Gateway.
