Carmarthenshire Floating Support Service provides tenancy-related support

The service delivers tenancy support to people living in the south Carmarthenshire area which includes Llanelli, Burry Port, Kidwelly, Llangunnor and Pontyberem.

Help available

Help available to people includes support and guidance on any issues that affect their tenancies such as:

• Financial management
• Substance or alcohol misuse
• Mental or physical health issues
• Emotional welfare and tenancy management

We deliver floating support for people living in private rented accommodation, local authority or housing association properties, owner occupiers and those with no fixed abode.

Our services

• Supporting people into permanent and sustainable accommodation
• Developing independent living skills
• Advice and support on benefits
• Liaising with other relevant services and agencies
• Signposting to other agencies and services where appropriate
• Neighbour issues
• Supporting access to community activities
• Facilitating access to other services such as healthcare, training or education

The team has 21 senior support workers who work in partnership with other providers of floating support within Carmarthenshire, as well as statutory agencies and anyone who can support clients.
