McCann and Partners are a south Wales-based organisation, specialising in providing the full range of building services associated with mechanical, electrical and public health engineering systems.
Both their Cardiff and Swansea offices utilised all their time and resources to plan and execute events, competitions and charity days to raise money for the people we support.
McCann and Partners teams used several fun and innovative ways to fundraise for The Wallich. Here are a few examples of how they reached their target:
In June 2018, the team held a charity golf day at Radyr Golf Club. 20 teams took part in the competition with Merriott UK bagging first prize.
In total, the golf day raised an outstanding £2,612.25.
In August 2018, seven teams took on a dodgeball competition, held at Atlantic Way CrossFit.
The friendly game raised a smashing £790.
The standout event for McCann and Partners was the 24-hour cycling challenge, held at the Geraint Thomas Velodrome, in Newport.
Starting the challenge on 21 October, an entire day of continuous pedaling, landed the team a very respectable 12th place out of 22 teams.
In total, the challenge raised £945.
Other fundraising initiatives included running a 10k, hosting pub quizzes, office Christmas jumper days and sponsored weight loss programmes.

“We are enormously grateful to the team at McCann & Partners for raising over £10,000 in 2018 to support the expansion of our emergency nightshelter provision.
“They worked tirelessly to achieve their target and have provided a lifeline for people experiencing homelessness on the streets of Cardiff.
“Having the support of business is so important to our work and we can’t thank McCann’s enough for what they have done for The Wallich and the people we support.”
