Families Temporary Accommodation Project (FTAP)

Our Families Temporary Accommodation Project (FTAP) offers a floating support service in Aberystwyth

For families who have been placed into temporary accommodation by the local authority.

We support service users in Ceredigion to increase their control, understanding and involvement around the issues they have identified as needing assistance with, in order to prevent further homelessness.

Our dedicated staff works with our residents in order to find and secure suitable and sustainable independent accommodation.

We support residents with issues such as:

• Applying for benefits
• Resolving benefit issues
• Budgeting skills
• Access to physical or mental health services
• Engaging with drug or alcohol services
• Seeking independent accommodation

We also work closely with the local authority housing department to help residents complete actions on their housing plans set out by the housing officers.
