The Wallich client Lee holds up crafts on Anglesey - Housing support - homelessness

Ynys Môn Supported Accommodation and Floating Support Service aims to enable people to access housing, including support with your tenancy and negotiating appropriate terms.

The service will help people develop or maintain the skills and confidence necessary to live as independently as possible, in a safe and suitable home.

Aims of the service

Help individuals to keep a tenancy

Support includes mediation with landlords, preparation for managing a tenancy, housing-related support via group work or individually and we can provide small funds to enhance your ability to live more independently.

Early intervention

We aim to be preventative, to get involved early (prior to the statutory homelessness stage) to support households to keep their tenancy or other right to occupy their home.

Integrate people into the community

We aim to improve the sustainability of the housing of an individual by tackling social isolation and helping them play a full part in their community.

Provide other opportunities

The service has good links, and will refer or signpost people to services which provide opportunities for education, training, volunteering, and employment.
