Corporation Street

Corporation Street provides supported housing for people with complex needs, and accommodation for people who need low level support as they increase their independence.

There are 11 bedrooms in total, with residents having access to communal areas and shared facilities.

The length of stay varies, depending on each resident’s support needs and the availability of suitable move-on accommodation.

We support residents to increase their control, understanding and involvement in the issues that affect their lives, with a view to gaining the independence needed to manage their own accommodation.

We support residents with:

• Applying for benefits and resolving benefit issues
• Budgeting skills
• Access to drug and alcohol services
• Access to physical and mental health services
• Harm reduction
• Relapse prevention
• Seeking independent accommodation

We work closely with several partner agencies including Ceredigion County Council’s housing department, probation, the police Integrated Offender Management team, DDAS and community mental health.

Residents at Corporation Street can access the Reflections Network for counselling and get involved in activities with the Wellbeing and Engagement team.

The Wallich believes that people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness are individuals with varied and different support needs.

Research shows that their successful recovery benefits from living in a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE).

We want to provide innovative and trauma-informed services which match people to support which suits them.
